Zero4Racer Drive Privacy Policy

日本語

This Privacy Policy explains what information Zero4Racer Drive (formerly Zero4Racer Track; the "App") for iPhone and iPad handles, how it is used and shared, how long it is kept, and the choices you have. The App is published by J-Tech Creations, Inc. ("we", "us"). Our general practices are described in the J-Tech Creations, Inc. Privacy Policy; for the App, this policy applies.

Summary

  • No sign-up is required, and the App does not ask for your real name, email address, phone number or other contact details.
  • The App shows no advertising, we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites for advertising, and we do not sell your information. Our online services and their providers use technical information to operate and troubleshoot the online features, as described below.
  • The App does not access GPS or device location services, contacts, the camera or the microphone. Online providers may record a country inferred from an internet request, as described below.
  • Most of your game data stays on your device.
  • Race videos are made on your device and are shared only when you choose to share them.
  • Some features send limited information to our online service and to our service providers: races over the internet, optional online driver-name checks with your permission, reports and blocks, the online check of custom paint and of your own driver portrait, purchase confirmation, and Game Center.

Information Stored on Your Device

The App stores your game data on your device: your driver profiles (the driver names, icons and portraits you choose), cars, parts and in-game money, settings, race records, paint designs, the recording of your most recent race, and any photo you add as a driver portrait. This data is not sent to us except as described in this policy. Depending on your device settings, it may be included in your device backups, such as iCloud Backup.

Deleting a driver profile removes it from the App; its saved files stay on your device until you delete the App. Deleting the App removes its private data from your device. Files saved to Photos or shared with other apps, device backups, and records held by our online services are separate and are not removed by uninstalling.

Online ID (Epic Online Services)

For its online features, the App signs in to Epic Online Services ("EOS"), provided by Epic Games, Inc., with a device credential created on your device. This creates a pseudonymous online identity, even though no sign-up is required. This may happen automatically when the App starts. You do not enter a name, email address or password. EOS gives the App a random identifier (your "online ID"). The device credential persists between sessions so EOS can recognize the same pseudonymous account; it is separate from the online ID used by our game services.

We use your online ID and pseudonymous identifiers derived from it to recognize requests from the App, apply fair-use limits, and connect your matches, name checks, paint checks, reports and blocks. Online purchase checks also use the Apple-signed identifiers described below. Epic receives technical information needed to provide EOS, such as your IP address and information about your device and operating system, and handles it under the Epic Games Privacy Policy.

The EOS SDK also collects service-quality information, including a random session identifier, API call counts, latency, and HTTP or internal status codes, to provide and monitor its services. Epic uses these metrics to provide, analyze and monitor EOS. EOS identity services also cover account names and email addresses in the SDK's privacy declaration. We include that provider coverage in our App Store privacy disclosure; this App uses device credentials without an Epic account sign-in form and does not ask you to submit an email address or real name.

Races with Other Players

Internet races. When you create or join a private room, the App sends your online ID, the room code and the race settings to our online service. Room records are deleted about one day after the room ends.

What other players receive. Quick Match and Internet private rooms use generated driver names by default; only a name you explicitly choose to submit for checking may replace that generated name. During a race, the App exchanges race information with the other players in the room: your driver name and icon, your car with its parts and settings, your approved custom paint, your position and controls during the race, and your online ID. Other players can see your driver name, icon, car and paint.

Connections. In internet races, your device may connect directly to other players' devices, which can make your IP address visible to them; otherwise the connection is relayed through Epic's servers.

Local races. If you allow local network access, the App uses it to find nearby devices running the App on the same network and exchanges the same race information directly with them. LAN race traffic is exchanged locally. Hosting authorization still uses our online service to verify the Apple purchase account and the shared daily hosted-game allowance; using approved custom paint also checks its approval as described below. LAN names are filtered locally, with a generated name for rejected content; this name filtering sends no data to AI.

Hosted Games and the Daily Allowance

For private LAN and Internet hosting, our service records the verified Apple purchase-account association, a random game-session reference, LAN or Internet mode, a game-start sequence, a public installation key and authorization/start times. This verifies the hosting right, applies the shared free daily hosted-game allowance, and lets a retry or reconnect use the same started game without counting it again. The private installation key stays on the device. Daily allowance records cover the current and previous UTC days. Game authorization/start records expire two days after the one-hour game authorization ends, and are removed by scheduled cleanup.

Online Driver Names, Reports and Blocks

Quick Match finds another player through our online service. The App sends your online identity, selected course and race settings. Your selected driver name is sent for checking only with your explicit permission, as explained below. We keep search and match status, timing and daily-use records to arrange matches and apply the free daily allowance. Quick Match has no text chat, voice chat or direct messages.

  • Optional online driver-name checks. Quick Match and Internet private rooms use a generated driver name unless you choose to share your selected name for a safety check. After the App explains the choice and you give permission, we send that name to our service and Cloudflare Workers AI and apply automatic rules to check for contact details and inappropriate content. Other players see an approved name or a generated name when a check is rejected or cannot finish. You can return to a generated name and stop future name checks; this does not erase earlier reports or videos. Consent is saved on your device for the selected driver profile and its exact name; changing that name requires a new choice. Please do not use your real name or contact information. Our service caches up to eight name-check records per online identity for 24 hours, including the approved name or a fingerprint of a rejected name and the check result; it does not store the rejected name itself.
  • Participation and report records. To let you report a player from a Quick Match you shared, we keep a record of the participants, checked or generated names, course and start time for 30 days. Internet private rooms also keep a separate safety record of authenticated participants, opaque participant references, player slots, checked or generated names, room references and when participants shared the room. This expires 30 days after the most recent verified participation and lets a participant report or block only someone they actually shared that room with. It remains available after the operational room record is removed. A report sends your and the other player's pseudonymous identifiers, the match or room reference and one of the fixed reasons you select; there is no free-text report field. Reports include the names shown and participation details. We keep reports and the history of staff review for 90 days from each record's creation.
  • Internet blocking. Quick Match and Internet private rooms share the same block list. You can block a player you actually played with and remove a block in the App. We keep both players' pseudonymous identifiers and the checked or generated name shown in your list until you unblock that player or the associated online account is deleted. A block prevents future Quick Match pairing and admission to the same Internet private room, and removes the guest or makes you leave the current private room. You can keep up to 100 blocks. Deleting the App does not by itself remove blocks held by our service.
  • LAN safety. LAN has no authenticated account identity. A host can remove a driver and block that device address from rejoining the current room until it closes; devices sharing that address are also affected. A guest can leave and block that room on their own device until they clear the block or close the App. These local room blocks are kept in memory, not on our service, and are not account bans. The LAN report button opens our contact form; you must submit the report there. Opening the form does not send a report.
  • Moderation and contact. Authorized staff can review reports, decide that no action is needed, suspend Quick Match access for 30 days, or lift a suspension. Reports and moderation records are not published to other players. You can also raise a safety or privacy concern through our contact form.

Custom Paint and the Online Check

You design paint on your device. A design image is sent only when you choose to verify it. Before you race other players with an approved design, the App asks our online service whether it is still approved, sending your online ID and the design's fingerprint (not the image).

  • What is sent. The design image (1024 × 1024 pixels), a fingerprint of the image (a SHA-256 hash), the car model and your online ID.
  • How it is checked. The image is checked automatically by an AI model that runs on Cloudflare Workers AI. Approved designs can be used in races, where other players see them. Our staff may look at a design that another player reports or that needs a manual decision, and may withdraw an approval.
  • How long it is kept. The image is deleted 7 days after it is sent if the check has not finished, 1 day after it is rejected or its approval is withdrawn, and when its approval ends (no later than 90 days after it was sent). A record without the image (your online ID, the fingerprint, the car model and a random reference number) is kept to check approvals in races and to keep rejected designs from being reused. It is deleted 90 days after the design is rejected, the check expires unanswered or the approval ends, and one year after we withdraw an approval. The daily count of your checks is deleted within four days.
  • Review history. Each check, its result and any staff decision are also recorded under the random reference number, with the car model and dates. Review history contains the random design reference, car model, dates and review decisions, rather than the player's online ID or image. It may remain linkable through separately retained design mappings or recovery copies. Deleting a live paint check record does not by itself confirm deletion or unlinking of retained history and recovery copies.
  • Please do not include personal information, such as names, faces, addresses or phone numbers, in your designs.

Reports about Other Drivers' Paint

If you report another driver's paint, the App sends your online ID, that driver's online ID, the design's fingerprint and the reason you select. We use reports only to review designs. Active paint-report records expire after 30 days. Older audit history and recovery copies are separate and are not covered by that active-record expiry. We do not tell the other driver who reported the design.

Your Own Driver Portrait

  • If you add your own photo as a driver portrait, you choose one image in the iOS photo picker. The App receives only that image and does not access the rest of your photo library.
  • The App crops the photo on your device to 256 × 256 pixels and sends it with your online ID to our online service for the same automatic check as paint.
  • Our service checks the image in memory and does not store it. It keeps only the image's fingerprint and the result, to apply the daily limit, and deletes them within four days.
  • An approved portrait is saved only on your device. It is not sent to other players.

Purchases and Subscriptions

  • Purchases are processed by Apple. We do not receive your payment details, Apple Account email address or password. Purchase and restore do not require Game Center.
  • The App receives information about your purchases from Apple to unlock what you bought on your device.
  • For online benefits, the App sends Apple-signed app and purchase information to our service. This includes the app transaction identifier, purchase transaction identifiers, product and validity information, and a pseudonymous app account token where applicable. We verify Apple's signatures and ask Apple's App Store Server API about the current purchase status. The signed app transaction identifies your purchase account for this App independently of Game Center and lets us associate its online benefits with your EOS identity.
  • Our service keeps app-transaction and subscription-transaction lookup identifiers and their pseudonymous account association for up to 400 days after the last verified update or use. A successful later check renews that period. These records help us find the purchase to check with Apple; they do not permanently grant access or replace a current purchase check. A temporary association between your EOS connection and verified purchase account expires after 10 minutes.

Game Center

If you are signed in to Game Center, the App sends your time-attack results to Game Center leaderboards and can show leaderboard entries. It also sends achievement progress, such as passing Driving Test levels. Game Center is optional and is separate from purchase verification. Game Center is operated by Apple, and your Game Center nickname, scores and achievements may be visible to other players. Apple handles this information under the Apple Privacy Policy.

Race Videos

Race recording. So that you can make a video of your latest race, the App keeps a recording of it on your device. It holds the cars' positions and controls and the lap and finishing times. In races with other players, it also holds their driver names, cars and approved custom paint as they appeared in the race. Each new race replaces the recording. It is not sent to us, and deleting the App removes it.

Making and sharing videos. Videos are made on your device, and the App shares or saves a video only when you choose to. Sharing opens the iOS share sheet; the app or service you pick, such as X, Instagram or TikTok, handles the video under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not receive your videos. Saving to Photos asks for permission to add photos; the App does not read your photo library.

Other drivers in your videos. A video of a race with other players shows their driver names, cars and approved paint, as everyone in that race could see them. A paint design you reported is shown in the standard color. Please share videos with respect for the other drivers.

Technical Information and Security

Our online service runs on Cloudflare. Like any internet service, it receives your IP address with each request. We use it to respond and, as a keyed hash, to limit abuse; our application database uses a keyed hash rather than retaining the IP address. Short-window request-rate counters expire within a few minutes; daily game and image-check allowances have the separate lifetimes listed below. Our application diagnostic logs are designed not to record image contents. On our production room and paint services, sampled request metadata and operational errors may appear in Cloudflare Workers Logs, currently retained for up to seven days. This metadata can include the country inferred from the request, request timing and CPU time, and technical error or status information. It may be associated with request or account identifiers and is used for security, service operation and performance analysis. This is not GPS location or advertising tracking. Cloudflare processes submitted names and images for safety checks under its applicable terms. The retention periods listed for our application records do not describe Cloudflare's independent processing or recovery copies. Cloudflare handles information under the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

How We Use Information

We use the information described above only to provide races and matching with other players; to check driver names, custom paint and portraits so that races stay safe for everyone; to review reports and enforce blocks and suspensions; to apply fair-use limits and protect our service against abuse; to confirm purchases; to analyze service use and performance; to process deletion requests and show their status; to answer your inquiries; and to meet legal obligations.

Sharing and Service Providers

We do not sell your information or share it for others' marketing. We use the following providers, each of which handles information under its own privacy policy:

  • Cloudflare, Inc.: hosting of our online service and the automatic AI check.
  • Epic Games, Inc.: the online ID and connections between players (Epic Online Services).
  • Apple Inc.: the App Store, purchases and subscription status, and Game Center.

Other players receive the race information described above. We may also disclose information when required by law. These providers may process information in the United States and in other countries outside the one where you live.

Deleting Your Online Guest Account

In versions that provide this feature, open Settings → Privacy & Data to request deletion of this device's online guest account and its associated online game data, including shared paints and multiplayer records. Requests are processed manually, normally within 30 days. You can check progress in the same screen. Acceptance of a request is not confirmation of deletion: completion is shown only after actual deletion is confirmed. If the feature or service is unavailable, the App tells you and does not show a request as accepted.

The request does not delete local drivers, garages, recordings or free-use counters, another device's saves, your Apple or Game Center account, or Apple purchase rights. Offline driving remains available. Apple subscriptions continue billing until you cancel them in the App Store; cancellation is optional and does not prevent you from requesting deletion immediately.

We retain a minimal private receipt-based completion record so you can check status later. Raw online account identifiers, private processing evidence and recovery backups may remain for up to 30 days after completion; they are not used to recreate the deleted online account. Apple purchase records and providers' separate legal obligations are outside this deletion request. The periods listed for our live application records do not promise that every provider record or backup has the same lifetime.

Your Choices and Rights

  • You can keep a generated online driver name and decline or withdraw permission for name checks before joining. Local consent preferences do not change earlier reports or videos.
  • You can play without the online features. Paint and portrait images are sent only when you choose to verify them, Game Center is optional, and you can turn off local network access for the App in iOS Settings.
  • Deleting the App removes its private data from your device. Separately saved or shared files, backups and online-service records are not removed by uninstalling.
  • You can ask us about the information our online service holds, or ask us to delete it, through our contact form. We use online and purchase identifiers rather than your email address or real name, so we may not be able to find your information unless you give us details that let us locate it. Most information is deleted automatically within the periods above; blocks remain until you remove them or ask us to delete them.
  • Depending on where you live, you may have rights under local law, such as to access, correct or delete your personal information or to object to its use. Contact us to exercise them.

Children

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the minimum age that applies in your country). If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us, and we will delete it where we can locate it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the App changes. We will post the updated version on this page and change the date below.
