Privacy Policy

Contribution Counts is provided by J-Tech Creations, Inc. The app and Safari extension work without a Contribution Counts account or GitHub sign-in.
Data the app processes
When you search for or add a GitHub user, the app requests public search results, profile names, and avatar URLs from GitHub's public REST API and a public contribution total from github.com. On GitHub pages you visit, the Safari extension reads contribution-calendar cells to display exact daily counts. It also reads the viewed profile's username and visible contribution total and synchronizes them locally with the launcher. That visible total follows your GitHub browser session and may include contributions available to a signed-in viewer.
When a subscriber creates a Year in Contributions video, the app requests that profile's public contribution calendar, public name, and avatar directly from GitHub. The video and its original J-Tech Creations background music are generated entirely on the device. The video is saved to Photos or Files, or shared to another app, only when you choose to do so. Photos access is limited to adding the video; the app does not read your photo library.
When you open a saved profile, the app tries to open the profile in Safari. If it cannot open Safari directly, it can open a jtechs.com helper page with an Open in Safari link and a Copy URL button. The page does not navigate automatically. The username is placed in the URL fragment (after “#”), which the browser does not send to the jtechs.com server.
Storage and sharing
Saved usernames and cached public profile results stay locally on your device. Contribution Counts has no developer-operated backend, analytics, advertising, or tracking. J-Tech Creations does not receive your saved profile list or generated video.
Purchases
Apple processes subscriptions and payment information. The app uses StoreKit to verify whether an entitlement is active and shares only that entitlement state and expiration date with its Safari extension. The one-time 24-hour access period and display preferences are stored locally. J-Tech Creations does not receive payment-card details.
Your choices
You can remove saved profiles inside the app. Removing the app deletes its local launcher data. Safari website access can be changed in Safari extension settings.

Requests to GitHub are subject to GitHub's terms and privacy practices. App Store purchases are subject to Apple's terms and privacy practices. Contribution Counts is an independent app and is not affiliated with GitHub.
